I am trying to use NetscapeŽ Communicator 4.75 to participate in news groups. Our company uses Hummingbird SOCKS Client. My C:\WINNT\system32\Hummingbird\Connectivity\7.10\Socks\socks.cnf is as follows:

DIRECT 164.5.0.0 255.255.0.0
DIRECT 10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0

EXCLUDE-MODULE ftp

SOCKD5 @=164.5.1.56 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

The note I got from corporate about how they have the server set up is as follows:
>Joe,

>If this helps, here's the settings that I put in our socks proxy (the firewall).

> # News reader access for design group
># May 7, 2002
> permit - b,c - bbsnotes.ugs.com - 119
> permit - b,c - usenet.ugs.com - 119
> I believe that this is correct. If you want to bounce it off those guys they might have a suggestion.

Would it be possible to get some help from your technical support staff? I need to either modify my *.cnf file (add a ;119 after the SOCKS server IP), and/or modify my Netscape manual proxy configuration.

Thank you,
Joe Weber
